Arc-Extinguishing Coil Complete Set with Tuning Capacitor
Category:
Keywords:
The body of the tunable arc-suppression coil consists of a primary winding and a secondary winding. The secondary winding is connected to a capacitor regulation cabinet, where 4 to 5 sets of vacuum contactors control the switching of the secondary regulating capacitors. By leveraging the phase opposition between capacitive current and inductive current, the coil’s inductive current can be adjusted. When the secondary capacitors are disconnected, the primary winding has a small inductive reactance and a large inductive current. Once the secondary capacitors are connected, according to the principle of impedance transformation, it is equivalent to having a capacitor of the same power connected in parallel across the terminals of the primary winding, thereby reducing the inductive current in the primary winding. Consequently, by adjusting the capacitance of the secondary capacitors, the inductive reactance of the primary winding and the magnitude of its inductive current can be precisely controlled.
Performance features:
The capacitors used are BFMJ film self-healing capacitors with a rated operating voltage of 1000V. They are equipped with current-limiting coils, either internally or externally, to limit the inrush current during closing. Additionally, they are fitted with discharge resistors inside.
Technical specifications:
Applicable voltage levels: 6 kV, 10 kV, 35 kV, 66 kV
Operating mode: Pre-adjusted
Capacitance current measurement error ≤ 2%
Number of adjustment levels ≤ 32 levels
During a single-phase ground fault, the residual current is ≤5A.
The displacement voltage during system operation ≤ 10%.
Working principle:
The tuning-type arc-suppression coil utilizes the principle of transformer refraction by adding a secondary capacitive load winding to the arc-suppression coil. At the same time, several sets (typically four to five) of low-voltage capacitors are connected in parallel across the secondary winding of this arc-suppression coil. A controller regulates the switching sequence of vacuum switches or antiparallel thyristors to control the number of secondary capacitors that are put into operation, thereby adjusting the magnitude of the secondary capacitive reactance and consequently altering the magnitude of the inductive current on the primary side of the arc-suppression coil.
Structural components of a tuning-type arc-suppression coil:
A complete set of tunable arc-suppression coil devices typically consists of a grounding transformer, a tunable arc-suppression coil, a capacitor adjustment cabinet, a microcomputer controller, a control panel, a damping resistor box, current transformers, voltage transformers, surge arresters, isolating switches, and other components.
